Teaching at Malango School
The school was started in 1988 and currently enrolls 49 students ranging from K to 12th grade. Our school year follows the North American/ European school year, starting in July and running till late May. The year is divided into four terms, each of 8 or 9 weeks. Our classrooms are structured in multiage groups (MAPS). This year we have a MAP 1 (grades K-3), MAP 2 (grades 4-6), MAP 3 (grades 7-8), MAP 4 (grades 9-10) and a MAP 5 (grades 11-12). Classes are usually small. We are excited about having our first high school graduate this year, but we do need teachers!
