Dorm Function

Jordan Ryder returning back to school from Malaumanda (October 2001)

Because many of the children represented at NCA come from familes who are located deep interior, they travel long distances by air before arriving at the school.

The school calendar is divided up in quarters allowing children to return home in order to visit with parents throughout the school year. But, while the students are away from their parents, boarding home parents like Jeff and Joy care for them during the school term. Boarding home parents at NCA are career missionaries with NTM and consider themselves a vital link in the ongoing efforts to reach tribal people all over the jungles of PNG.

For the 2003-2004 school year NCA has three dorms in operation. The dorm "Moms" are Fiona Emery, Joy, & Rhonda Hunter

Because Jeff and Joy spent so many years in the bush they understand the importance of the dorm ministry at NCA. Parents can concentrate with greater focus on their ministries if they are assured their kids are well cared for at the school.
