Life in the dorm
At NCA, all boarding homes are operated in "family style." This means that the dorm seeks to function like a large family (max size is 12 kids). Siblings stay together in one dorm (as opposed to an all girls' dorm or all boys' dorm or one that is segregated by ages.)

Sometimes families get silly, so do dorm families!
| Chores for everyone are a part of the daily routine.
Joy spends a good portion of her day preparing food for the large dorm family.
It is a good thing Joy enjoys cooking and baking because she does a lot of it!
| And, of course, there is the regular cheering on of the kids in sporting events throughout the year (Here,Jordan and Grant playing basketball).
...and here in volleyball (Grant)

There are ample times to share the Word with students in dorm devotions, Bible class and weekly chapel services.
| Sometimes Jeff is even involved in
coaching. Here coaching the boys varsity basketball team.
Dorm Dad's even volunteer blood
to help dorm daughters for work study projects! Here, Alicia Rodges gets some blood from Jeff.

Joy also leads girls
discipleship group that meets regularly.
| With Joy's health issues, this golf cart really helps her to get around the school/headquarters complex.
Jeff spends a lot of time in his Black & Gold "Pittsburgh office" doing financial work for the dorms, Bible study, and correspondence.

Girls nights! Joy here with somegirls and their mothers. Each with facial masks!
| Jeff, taking on some boys in an impromptu "pile on" wrestling in the living room!
There are always little outings to plan for;
Like this very wet golf outing with Jeff and some of the boys.

Planning surprises like this progressive dinner around the center help to supply memorable moments in a school year.
| Doing spontaneous things like sleeping out on the roof!
