Faith in the Jungle - July 2012

Thank you so much for your love and prayers and gifts that have made it possible for us to minister in PNG. We are deeply grateful for your part in sharing the love of Jesus with the Hewa people.

Help has arrived! We are so grateful for how the Lord has encouraged us by bringing wonderful people to Hewa to assist us. Not only did the Lord provide men to help us build a new home here, but recently He blessed us with a team of medical workers led by Dr. Allan Sawyer, from Phoenix, who sacrificially gave a week of their lives to provide medical training for our Hewa friends. In addition, Susan’s niece Susie came to spend the summer helping us by teaching preschool for Mikenna and also Basic English classes for the Hewa. Our friend Chad also returned to Hewa and installed exterior siding on our new home with boards he cut from a massive cedar tree. We are so grateful for all the assistance the Lord has sent our way.

Update - July 5, 2012

Hello!

Thank you so much for your part in sharing the love of Jesus with the Hewa tribal people of Papua New Guinea. You have made a huge difference in their lives. Recently I recorded testimonies from three of the believers and was encouraged to hear what they said. I thought you might also be blessed by their stories so I am sharing them here. I realize their testimonies are long so you may not have time to read through them, but at the same time I thought you might be interested to hear their perspectives on their past and how God has rescued them. These are their own words so the sentences don’t flow in the same way we are used to speaking in America, but I think the message will come through loud and clear. Thank you so much for the huge blessing you are in our lives!

Jonathan
