Remembering a Life Well Lived...

We apologize for the lateness of this newsletter, but we have found ourselves in much transition over the past three months. We had the privilege of being with Trey's family and our sons and daughters-in-love over the holidays as we helped Trey's Mom, Yvonne, care for the needs of Trey's Dad and her husband, George, in his battle with small cell lung cancer. Although we had the opportunity to say our final goodbyes, little did we know that George was in his last days here on earth. Trey's Dad went to be with the Lord eight days after we returned to Bratislava. We are so thankful that the family was able to gather together once again to celebrate George's life and grieve together. Trey and Elise were able to stay for a few more weeks to help Yvonne and came back to Slovakia on February 4th. Needless to say, our heads have been spinning with all of the travel and grief. Please remember Yvonne as she adjusts to not having her husband and best friend of 58 years by her side and the rest of the family as we grieve George's life and legacy.

And Seeking to Live Life Well...

Prayer Requests:

  1. Pray for Trey as he will be leaving for the European Affinity Group Leadership Team meetings Sunday-Friday, March 5-10. Ask for God’s wisdom and discernment as they gather together to hear from Him and for safe travels. Remember Elise as she stays back to plug into ministry and life in Bratislava.
  2. Ask for God’s will and a blessed working relationship with the Slovakia missions pastor as we will begin this month investigating areas for future IMB workers and ministry in Slovakia.
  3. Remember Bret as he is beginning to look for a Basketball coaching job once he finishes his Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Leadership in August at ETBU in August. Ask the Lord to continue to bless his and Dana's marriage as they are approaching their first anniversary on June 17th.
  4. Pray for Ryan as he began his new job in the last month as Human Trafficking Training Coordinator with Victim Assistance Programs throughout California. Ask that God would give him all that he needs in this new adventure and that God would protect their marriage as Summer and Ryan adjust to working full time in the American work environment and approach their three-year wedding anniversary on May 17th!
