Greetings all,

It is hard to believe that the summer is coming to an end. Last Friday we were blessed to have our kids, Geoff & Tina, arrive home for their home assignment from Peru, South America. They are looking great but tired out from a term’s worth of hard work and ready for a bit of a change of pace. I am grateful for a few weeks with them before I have to head out on my next trip.

Just three weeks from now and I will be flying at high altitudes somewhere over the Pacific Ocean making my way to the Asia Pacific region where I will be ministering for 6 weeks. I am looking forward to what my schedule has in store for me and the opportunity to disciple Wana men in the process of all that I am involved in. Shortly after I arrive I will be taking two of our Wana leaders to the Island of Buru to a newly planted church on that island. There we will be rubbing shoulders with these new believers and also giving help and encouragement to the missionary team there. Shortly after the Buru trip we will be going into our own Wana Tribal work where we will be involved in a week long Bible conference followed by another week of teaching in another village along with translation checking on Old Testament portions of Scripture which have recently been drafted. Following the two weeks in Wana I will again be taking some of our Wana leaders and making a consultant visit to the island of Peleng where we have one of our Wana missionary teams located. It is truly a blessing to see our Wana churches sending out missionaries to other language groups and now having the privilege of serving them in a consultant role.

I will appreciate your continued prayers for God’s provision for this trip. We are thankful to the Lord for the funds that have come in to help meet the needs for this trip but still needing to trust Him for another $1000.

Thank you so much for your prayers and being a part of our team,

Ed & Jeanne Casteel

P.S. A few pix from our last Wana Bible conference

Teaching from 2 Peter. The new Church building still under construction - but at least a roof over our heads.

The Wana always look forward to these conferences and they are well attended

Following along in the teaching – Wana Bible on top with the Indonesian Bible on the bottom.

Older Pastor and outreach leader. They have been totally blessed to have the Scritpure in their own tribal langauge – as it has brought the Word of God to life for them!
