November 2015

Thank you so much for your love and prayers and gifts! We are deeply grateful for your part in reaching the Hewa people with the love of Jesus. Thank you!

We are very thankful for a safe and fun filled 4,300 mile trip in October through New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona, and are happy to be back together with Mikayla in California for a short breather. It was great to spend time with many friends, and especially wonderful to attend Micah’s graduation ceremony. Micah is now officially a medic with the Army, and has already been shipped to Georgia to begin airborne school, which includes (I'm very jealous about this part) parachuting out of airplanes!

Please remember to pray for the Hewa outreach to Yano. We hear Kifeson & Emiyas, Upe, and Alison have finished teaching the literacy program and are now preparing to teach the three month long Creation through Christ lessons. There have been some disruptions so please pray the men that are making demands for money and pigs from the Yano people (blaming Yano leaders for untimely deaths supposedly caused by evil spirits) will be silenced so the community can focus on the Word and develop trust in the Lord Jesus.

Please also remember to pray for a very serious drought situation in the highlands of PNG, and particularly in the Hewa mountains. We hear the Hewa people only have a week or two of harvestable food left in their gardens before real hunger begins. Pray the Lord will answer their prayers to provide frequent rain, and also pray for provision of food between now and the time their gardens start producing again (4-6 months). Also pray for our co-workers, John and Jessi, as they feel the weight of loving the Hewa during this time of serious need.

Praise and Prayer

  • Please pray for Mikayla as she continues to struggle with ongoing back pain while in college. Pray the Lord shows us how to help her while we are here in the USA.
  • Please pray for our co-workers, John & Jessi George, as they continue learning the Hewa language and culture. They hope to be fluent enough to join us in teaching & translation when we return to Hewa next year.
  • Please pray for serious drought conditions across the Highlands of PNG, and especially for the lack of food in Hewa.
  • Pray the Lord will raise up many more workers for the spiritual harvest field both here in the USA and across the world.

Thank you for your love and prayers and gifts! We deeply appreciate your part in reaching out to the Hewa tribal people with the Love of Jesus.

Thank you!
