Dear Team Members,

We trust this finds each of you safe, well, and Encouraged in the Lord Smile This past month has flown by with so much going on in our lives, in Florida, Mexico and Puerto Rico Frown

With the good possibility of losing all electricity from Hurricane Irma, we believed Cherrie would not cope with the intense heat and humidity, so we drove to Barnesville Georgia on August 26th to stay with friends for ten days. Irma did follow us with wind and rain, but we did not lose power there! Our NTM Retirement Center lost power for three days, so when we returned home we had to throw out most everything frozen. God is GOOD though and no structural damage was done to houses here, just trees and debris.

Cherrie did not cope real well with the ten hour drive up to Georgia, and the seven hour trip back. Driving up was like a parking lot with folk trying to escape Florida! Her back is still quite sore, but her surgeon’s PA is pleased she is healing well, though slowly. She is really tired, but that may be due to her hemoglobin level being down some, but is slowly coming up. It also may be due to the chemo medication she is on for five years. Know she would appreciate your prayers that her energy level would come back up. Her General Practitioner believes it could be six to nine months to get her energy level back up, since she has had so many operations these last three years.

Charlie has been really tired also caring for me, and is hoping to start riding his bike more and getting more fit.

I would appreciate your prayers as I so want to do more, but do not have the energy. God is doing a work in my life showing me more what He wants of me, not what I think I should be doing! I am learning to rest more and more in Him, my Health and Strength! Even at almost age 73 I am learning!!!! I made a list of friends that have cancer and there are 19 of them! We are part of each other’s lives as we journey with the Lord.

A continued PRAYER REQUEST is for the Prison Ministry Bible Study Ministry in the local prison. The number of papers received to correct is almost nil. The remark has been made that it is due to the “new generation” who are not interested in studying God’s Word. PLEASE PRAY!!!! We know from experience how the Word of God can change lives!

Please let us know how we can pray more effectively for you!

With Grateful hearts for you,

Charlie & Cherrie

Cherrie’s Musings:

I LOVE THIS SONG:

I think this was written by Mosie Lister

‘Til the Storm Passes By”

In the dark of the mid-night have I oft hid my face, While the storm howls above me, and there’s no hiding place. ‘Mid the crash of the thunder, precious Lord, hear my cry; Keep me safe ‘til the storm passes by.

Chorus: ‘Til the storm passes over, ‘Til the thunder sounds no more, ‘Til the clouds roll forever from the sky, Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand, Keep me safe ‘til the storm passes by.

Many times Satan whispered, “There is no need to try, For there’s no end of sorrow, there’s no hope by and by." But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I’ll rise Where the storms never darken the skies.

Chorus: ‘Til the storm passes over, ‘Til the thunder sounds no more, ‘Til the clouds roll forever from the sky, Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand, Keep me safe ‘til the storm passes by.

When the long night has ended and the storms come no more, Let me stand in Thy presence on that bright, peaceful shore. In that land where the tempest never comes, Lord, may I Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.”

Chorus: ‘Til the storm passes over, ‘Til the thunder sounds no more, ‘Til the clouds roll forever from the sky, Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,. Keep me safe ‘til the storm passes by.
