Dear Team Members,

Greeting from hot sunny Florida where air-conditioning is MOST welcomed!

It is hard to believe that half of 2014 has gone by! Memories are SPECIAL and we thank the Lord for being able to visit “Down Under” to see our son Ben and his family, and on our way back to see our son Ray and his family in Kansas! Now this month we will get to see our daughter Esther and her family and our newest grandchild Dimaggio in New York Smile God is soooo GOOD and we thank Him for these SPECIAL times!

Cherrie sees the orthopedic surgeon on Monday the 7th and all being well, we plan to head to New York to see Esther and her family the next day. Cherrie’s back is slowly continuing to improve. She has times of feeling overwhelmingly tired, but she thinks this is partly due to the healing process and the intense heat and humidity we have been having so she enjoys the air-conditioning A LOT! We plan on being back around August 6th so we can both take a basic course in “Teaching English as a second language” the following week in preparation to being involved in this area as an outreach to the community through which we may win folk to Christ. I (Charlie) will be taking the advanced course in September to teach English as a second language. We appreciate your prayers as we take these courses.

Cherrie continues to enjoy helping to correct the Bible Study lessons for the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry here in our Sanford area. Two of our retirees, Connie and Mary Cain, have faithfully headed this up on Wednesday mornings. On June 8th, at the age of 88, the Lord took Connie home to be with Him. Connie and Mary went to the field of Venezuela in 1957 retiring here in Sanford in 1993. Though retired, they have both continued to faithfully serve the Lord. We know Mary and their extended family would appreciate your prayers.

It is exciting to see our grandchildren have a desire to be used of the Lord. As we write this, our grandson Jayden (soon to be 15 years old) is on a Mission Adventure through his school to work alongside missionaries working with Aborigines in the Northern part of Australia. We are encouraged as we hear of opportunities for these students to build relationships with those around them and most important to their Savior. This is done regularly through practical help to missionaries, through devotions, and as they fellowship and worship as a group. We are certain their lives will never be the same in a good way, as a result of this time!

We know the Lord is using you “Where He has planted you”! God Bless and Encourage you day by day.

With our Love and Appreciation for you,

Charlie & Cherrie
