Dear family and friends,

We thank-you for praying for us as we headed north to Ohio to attend my mom’s funeral in January. We felt the Lord’s sustaining grace and comfort as we traveled, met with family and friends, and attended the visitation times and funeral service. We were gone from home for just 7 days, but packed a whole lot into those days. We spent 4 days in the car. On our way home we stopped in Savannah, Georgia to visit with some friends of ours. We did some hiking and sight-seeing in a local state park. Of course, Brad had his camera along and took quite a few photos. Spending time with friends and being able to relax was a good thing after all that we had just been through. It was a blessing to have this time at the end of our trip before returning home and going back to work.

We received many cards and messages of condolence. We appreciate each and every one of you who remembered us in your prayers. I am still working through grieving the loss of my mom. I understand that this will take some time, and I appreciate your continued prayers for me as I progress through the coming days and months.

Last week I spent some time training one of our younger retirees who has graciously volunteered to help out with the housekeeping responsibilities. Marcie has offered to work two mornings a week which will help lighten my work load. She also agreed to substitute in the kitchen when extra help is needed. Marcie has already been a blessing, and I am so thankful to the Lord for her willingness to fill the gap until another full time house keeper arrives on the scene.

A few months ago, I mentioned a specific people group in Papua New Guinea that would soon be hearing the good news of the gospel. I will refer to them here as the Mb. people group. We have to be very careful to not be too specific in our writing because of the effect it can have on the new believers. Persecution often breaks out as the enemy is not happy when folks put their trust in the Lord. These folks have been attending the Bible teaching for months now and have only in the past few days heard about the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. I have not yet heard what the response has been among those who have faithfully come to the meetings. Missionaries are in the process of interviewing those who attended the teaching to determine if they have a clear understanding of the simple gospel message. As the seed has been sown, please pray that God will give a harvest of souls.

As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of New Tribes Mission, Regina Rodman, Video Production Specialist with NTM, shares Sacrifice, the first of eight value videos. In the historical footage, we hear early NTM missionary, Ken Johnston say, “I don’t believe you can ever sacrifice for the Lord and come out on the short end.” Pray for missionaries to keep focused on God and not their circumstances. Watch the video. Check this out! We actually know some of the folks in this short 3 minute video.

Because of your faithful prayer and financial support, we have been privileged to serve God by serving retired missionaries here at NTM Homes. Thank you.

Because He is worthy,

Wanda (and Brad) Hull
