E-Update - August 2006
Dear Friends,

We had a fairly uneventful flight (16 hours in flight) back to Singapore last Friday. There was a storm somewhere in the vicinity of Taiwan, which made for some turbulence on the leg from Tokyo to Singapore. It was nice to return to our apartment at 151 D King's Rd in the early AM, put the suitcases aside and get some rest.

Unbeknownst to us, while in flight Diann's father was being taken to a hospital in Astoria, Oregon. We are thankful that he is now out of the hospital and back home. Our thanks, to those of you, who prayed for John. Diann was able to stay abreast of the situation by talking frequently with family members, by using Skype on our laptop computer.

Next week on Wednesday I will begin to teach a Theology of Mission Class at Singapore Bible College. Some of the time this week has been devoted to preparing materials, plus making a couple of trips over to SBC. While we were in the states, a friend of ours, Yang Peng, helped us out with a photocopy project. We had gotten permission from Inter Varsity Press in London to produce a number of copies of the text book for our class. Last night Yang Peng & his wife Maureen presented us with the copies as a gift and we are very grateful for their help.

On Wednesday evening next week we will be having our NTM (Asia) bimonthly board meeting. Our current director Lionel Ong is near the end of his term, which means we are looking to the Lord for another director. We have appreciated the time and effort that Lionel has put into this ministry. Would you please be in prayer for us as we meet as a board and discuss this one item plus several others on the agenda. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

Diann and I trust that you are finding the Lord sufficient. We appreciated our time back home & want to apologize to many of you, who we could not visit, but count as dear friends. On our next home assignment we will be looking forward to a time to a visit.

Together with you for Him,

Dave & Diann
